OpenDocLab explores the fertile landscape of possibilities in documentary storytelling enabled by new technologies and phenomena in media, from virtual reality to viral videos to digital journalism. Founded in 2012 under the leadership of principal investigator Uricchio and director Wolozin, the lab holds courses, workshops, and public lectures, and sponsors research fellows and experimental research, to support innovation in this immersive, interactive new era of nonfiction.
