Alpha Arsano SM ’17

Graduate Student, MIT

Alpha Arsano is an architect and a building scientist working in the field of sustainable building design. In her doctoral research at the MIT Sustainable Design Lab, she has been developing an early-design approach to promote the design of naturally ventilated and hybrid buildings. The workflow has been implemented in a web-based platform called ClimaPlus that in collaboration with the MIT Energy Initiative, has been used to teach an online course on sustainable building design for thousands of learners around the world. The goal is to make easily accessible guidelines available to people who want to make their buildings energy efficient and low carbon.

Alpha Arsano SM ’17 is speaking at MIT Better World (Sustainability) on March 16, 2021.
