Coding to Help Other Students Learn
“My goal is to master computer science, but also improve the education system,” says Amol Bhave ’17. In 2012, while a high school student in India, he discovered the prototype MITx online course 6.002x Circuits and Electronics. After completing it, Bhave and two friends created their own online follow-up course, helping other students around the world continue their learning on the topic. “I think there is a better way to teach people,” says Bhave, who went on to attend MIT as an undergraduate in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He adds: “I think MIT does a really great job attracting people who are passionate about changing the world.”
