At the Crossroads of Collaboration: How MIT’s Campus Will Change by 2030

To mark the launch of the MIT Campaign for a Better World, groups of MIT leaders, faculty, alumni, and students gathered in May 2016 for a series of “Discover MIT” events to discuss in detail what the Campaign’s priorities mean in the context of MIT’s ongoing education, research, and innovation. How are we making a difference now? And what will this bold fundraising effort enable us to achieve?

In this video, the panelists discuss such projects as the recently completed renovation of Building 2, newly renamed the Simons Building, which is home to the Department of Mathematics; the ongoing construction of MIT.nano, the Institute’s new center for nanoscience and nanotechnology, at the heart of the campus; and MIT’s long-term vision for the transformation of Kendall Square.
