“It teaches you lessons you really can’t learn in a classroom,” says Christopher Kiel ’22, a member of the Solar Electric Vehicle Team, describing the valuable experience gained by making mistakes, such as when an error forced a costly re-do on the car’s upper body. “It was intense. It was anxiety-causing. But looking back, I would not trade that in for anything.”
