The Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation (DAPER) offers MIT students world-class facilities and instruction for an extraordinary range of athletic endeavors, including 33 varsity teams and 25 unique types of instruction. Stratton Student Center
A renewal of the Student Center (W20) is improving design, infrastructure, and flexible-use space in this hub of student life. A Wellbeing Lab is the anchor for MIT’s well-being initiatives, and new dance studios and multipurpose space will be featured on the fourth floor. Opened in fall 2023.
